Learn how to open a bottle of champagne with

a Sabre!  A fun and spectacular way to open

a champagne bottle by using a Sabre or even

a common Chef knife by quickly sliding the

knife up the neck of the bottle and literally

"cutting" the top of the bottle off with an

impressive "pop!" and flying cork!  You will

learn an easy, fun, and very impressive talent

that you can use to celebrate any event for

you and your guests. Seminar includes

instruction and demonstration on Sabering

champagne and you get to drink the bottle

that you Sabre!

Underappreciated Reds - EastSide Bistro

We'll delve into the world of GSM-

Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre blends and not

necessarily in that order!  We'll discuss Italy,

Spain, and France and what they have to

offer in these Rhone varietals.  Learn how

these three powerhouses combine in varying

percentages to create some of the most

beloved blended wines in the world.  Darin

Thorn, a Level I Sommelier and Republic

National wine purveyor, will be leading this

seminar.  These wines will be available to drink

throughout the Wine Festival at the

EastSide Bistro.

world class wines.  Presented by Eliane

Wissocq of The eVine and charismatic

wine maker, A. Eames, owner of

Puesto del Sol Winery in Paonia.  These

wines are available to drink at EastSide

Bistro throughout the Wine Festival.

Learn about little exposed wines from the regions of Portugal, Sicily, and the Languedoc region of France.  We'll taste such varietals as Nero d'Avola, Mourvedre, grapes used for port made into the still wines of Portugal, and more!   This seminar is led by Level I Sommelier and owner of Mountain Spirit Liquors Aaron Tomcak.   These wines will be available to drink at the West End or for full bottle purchase at Mountain Spirits Liquors.

Unveiling Roses of the World - West End Public House 3pm   $40 (40 people)
Roses... NOT the sticky sweet wine you think it is but the perfect summer libation!  Learn about the subtle nuances of DRY Roses made from a myriad of different varietals from regions such as Provence and the Rhone of France, Spain, Oregon, and more!  This seminar is led by Level I Sommelier and owner of Mountain Spirit Liquors Aaron Tomcak.   These wines will be available to drink at the West End or for full bottle purchase at Mountain Spirits Liquors.

Wines of Spain - 3pm West End Public House   $40 (40 people)
Discover the wonderful regions of Spain and the amazing wines that represent them!  We'll discuss Rioja, Priorat, Rias Baixas, and Alicante to name a few, and taste the wines that are produced and are indicative of those regions.  Think Grenache, Tempranillo, Albarino, and many more!  This seminar is led by Level I Sommelier and owner of Mountain Spirit Liquors Aaron Tomcak.   These wines will be available to drink at the West End or for full bottle purchase at Mountain Spirits Liquors.
